BROGA

Introducing Argyll Yoga's newest class - BROGA! Yoga classes catered for men and taught by a man.

Our four week taster course (30 minutes per class) is the perfect way to discover if yoga is for you with each week touching on the theory behind this ancient practice, breaking down some of the poses and a mini flow. £20 for four classes (£5 per class). This is the perfect course to get you ready to join the Broga classes beginning in January 2026!

FAQs

FAQs

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please bring with you something to practice on, a yoga mat or blanket and wear suitable clothing. We do have some yoga mats available to borrow.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear what you are comfortable in! You don't want to be distracted by your attire.

Leggings, yoga pants or loose fitting clothing is always preferable to allow movement. Jeans are not advised. Ideally you should practice barefoot.

WHAT FACILITIES ARE THERE IN THE STUDIO?

There is a changing room and toilet and a kitchen area for water. Please remove your shoes and leave them in the changing room. Please be aware there may be other classes taking place before your session so please be respectful when entering

WHAT KIND OF YOGA IS IT?

The classes are mostly vinyasa, or 'flow' with movement and breath.

I'M NOT VERY 'GOOD' AT YOGA, WHAT IF I CAN'T DO IT?

There is no such thing as being good or bad at yoga. Yoga is a personal practice for everyone. Movement with your own breath. Everyone body is different, every monkey mind is different, every feeling in the here and now is different.  Come and see for yourself!

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?

The classes are open to any age however <18 year olds are considered legally 'children' and therefore must have a parent/carer submit the booking and sign the disclaimer in advance via the booking form.

EATING BEFORE CLASS?

When it comes to food and digestion, each individual is different and needs to find out what works for them. In general I do not recommend a eating a large meal within two hours of a class - if you must eat within two hours of a class then a light meal or snack that it easily digested is best. It is recommended to be hydrated before a class so it is encouraged to drink some water beforehand.
